  • Aquarium Plant - Cabomba caroliniana A short plant video of Cabomba caroliniana. This is a beautiful aquatic plant that will grow well in any tropical aquarium, with low or high lighting. Regular pruning will prevent it from overgrowing, as it can quickly take over your tank. As with any planted tank, I would recommend some form of Carbon additive, liquid or gas, plus regular fertilisation.

  • Betta crowntail fish, cabomba and corydora panda My betta crowntail Antoiny with a corydora panda in a 10l cubic blau with a 25w chinese heater and niagara filter. The aquarium is not very big, its a ten liters, but this kind of fish are not easy to keep. Bettas are very agressive with other species and they usually attack them. With a lot of vegetation you can avoid this attacks, but sooner or later they will fight. As this fish breaths regular air and not water oxygen you can keep it in a small aquarium, never smaller than 7 liters. I allways recomend to add some cattalia catappa leaves to the water, as they reproduce they regular habitat and favorises breeding. I hope you enjoy the set up, thanks for watching and please subscribe if you enjoyed!

  • 10 Gallon Freshwater Betta Tank This is my 10 gallon freshwater community tank. It's really a Betta tank with a suspected pair of Peppered Corydoras Catfish. Notice throughout the video I say "Betta" not "Beta". Betta is the correct way to pronounce it. It's one of my pet peeves. I messed up at the end because my battery was running low. Anyways, the tank and heater are older than I am, and I'm 16. Imagine that. As such, I do not know much about the heater, but the tank is from All-Glass. This tank is filtered by a Penguin 100 Bio-Wheel made by Marineland. I bought it at Petsmart for a little over 20 dollars. It's silent and effective. The lighting is somewhat subdued, so I might go out and buy a new one. Any suggestions on growing the Cabomba are appreciated a ton. From what I've heard and read, my lighting is fine. Those sources say that 1.5 watts per gallon is good enough for Cabomba, I have a 15 watt fluorescent strip light. Underneath the plants are "Peat Plates" they "provide aquarium extracts necessary for healthy plant growth." If anything I might make a DIY Carbon thingy with a bottle yeast and sugar. I'll get a better light when I can. Comment, Rate, and Subscribe if you wish. I would appreciate it if you did. • 10g: Plant/Cherry Shrimp Growth & Should I Do Dirt? I've had nice and consistent growth in my anubias, hornwort (right) and cabomba jungle despite the sand only substrate and incorrect spectrum of lighting (which I only discovered recently). I've also had a nice java moss carpet growing underneath the cabomba. I rooted some water sprite and it's growing really fast. With an AC installed in my room now, I don't need the air stone. Plus, it stresses the fish and messes up the plants. The cherry shrimp are growing from the little millimeters they were into adults almost. The neon tetras are doing brilliantly and they are out more than usual. The honey gourami seems to be kinda dull though lately. I was thinking of switching to dirt. Gimme your input!
