  • PRO SKIMBOARDING....."don'TT sweat it kidd."- gary someone.(flimed by geoffrey huggins)) corey ryan, "noTT sweating"- FLIMED BY GEOFFREY HUGGINS Perspiration (also called sweating or sometimes transpiration) is the production of a fluid, consisting primarily of water as well as various dissolved solids (chiefly chlorides), that is excreted by the sweat glands in the skin of mammals.[1] Sweat contains the chemicals or odorants 2-methylphenol (o-cresol) and 4-methylphenol (p-cresol), as well as a small amount of urea. In humans, sweating is primarily a means of thermoregulation, although it has been proposed that components of male sweat can act as pheromonal cues [2]. Evaporation of sweat from the skin surface has a cooling effect due to the latent heat of evaporation of water. Hence, in hot weather, or when the individual's muscles heat up due to exertion, more sweat is produced. Sweating is increased by nervousness and nausea and decreased by cold. Animals with few sweat glands, such as dogs, accomplish similar temperature regulation results by panting, which evaporates water from the moist lining of the oral cavity and pharynx. Primates and horses have armpits that sweat similarly to those of humans. "Do not upload any TV shows." thank you ROUSH,......................... for the HAND- MADE SKIMBOARD? • Ettore Stratta & The Royal Philharmonic The Island Chiefly during the 1990s, conductor/producer Ettore Stratta built a recording career out of recasting various brands of popular music in symphonic-style orchestral arrangements. Sometimes that meant dabbling in Latin American music (as with Symphonic Boleros, Symphonic Tango, and Symphonic Bossa Nova) and sometimes that meant choosing compatible standards from the jazz and pop worlds to create records with consistent moods (as with A Sentimental Journey and 2000's As Time Goes By: Great Love Songs of the 20th Century). He's also done more specific collections, including a tribute to sci-fi film soundtracks (Music From the Galaxies) and, oddly enough, to Elvis Presley (Symphonic Elvis, recorded -- of course -- with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra). Stratta has recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Fantasy Strings, among other groups, and showed no signs of slowing down following the turn of the millennium. ~

  • brazilian slum A favela is fundamentally different from a slum or tenement, primarily in terms of its origin and location. While slum quarters in other Latin American countries generally form when poorer residents from the countryside come to larger cities in search of work, and while this also occurs to some extent with favelas, the latter are unique in that they were chiefly created as large populations became displaced. Many favelas now have electricity, a situation that 20 years ago was unheard of. Favelas differ from ghettos such as those in the United States in that they are racially mixed, even though blacks make up the majority of the population - that is, in Brazil it is chiefly economic forces, rather than ethnic or cultural issues, that drive people there.

  • Kohala Kuamoʻo: Naeʻoleʻs Race to Save a King Produced for Ōiwi TV by Kamehameha Publishing and presented in both ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi and English, Lau Nehenehe brings to life some of Hawaiʻi's popular children's titles through animation, imagination, sound and story. This story comes from a Kohala oral tradition passed on by kūpuna and retold by three generations of the Kawaiʻaeʻa ʻohana who are descendants of Naeʻole. When a prophecy proclaims that the unborn Kamehameha would grow to overshadow the ruling chiefs, his life from birth is in danger. Nae'ole, the trusted chiefly attendant of Kamehameha's mother, races across Kohala to save the infant Kamehameha. The first printing of Kohala Kuamo'o: Nae'ole's Race to Save a King commemorates the 200-year anniversary of Kamehameha's unification of the Hawaiian Islands under one rule in 1810. Who was Kamehameha? Kamehameha, a high-ranking Hawai'i Island chief from the district of Kohala, was the first ali'i to unify the Hawaiian Islands as a single nation, ultimately establishing the shared identity that Hawaiians enjoy as one people. His achievement fulfilled prophesies that foretold his greatness even while in the womb of his mother, Keku'iapoiwa. Hearing such prophesies, Alapa'inui, the Hawai'i Island ruler of the time, ordered that the child be killed upon birth. Kamehameha's life was nonetheless safeguarded through the efforts of his first guardian, Nae'ole of Hālawa. Who was Naeʻole? Nae'ole, a chief of Hālawa, Kohala was the iwikuamo'o or most trusted and close ...

  • Porpora - Cello Concerto in G Major - Mov. 1&2/4 NICOLA PORPORA (1686 - 1768) Concerto for cello, strings, and basso continuo in G major 1. Adagio 2. Allegro Performed by l'Ensemble 415 Featuring Gaetano Nasillo, cello Directed by Chiara Banchini *Nicola (Antonio) Porpora (or Niccolò Porpora) was an Italian composer of operas and teacher of singing, whose most famous singing student was the castrato Farinelli. Porpora was born in Naples. He graduated from the music conservatory Poveri di Gesù Cristo of his native city, where the civic opera scene was dominated by Alessandro Scarlatti. Porpora's first opera, Agrippina, was successfully performed at the Neapolitan court in 1708. His second, Berenice, was performed at Rome. In a long career, he followed these up by many further operas, supported as maestro di cappella in the households of aristocratic patrons, such as the commander of military forces at Naples, the prince of Hesse-Darmstadt, or of the Portuguese ambassador at Rome, for composing operas alone did not yet make a viable career. However, his enduring fame rests chiefly upon his unequalled power of teaching singing. At the Neapolitan Conservatorio di Sant'Onofrio and with the Poveri di Gesù Cristo he trained Farinelli, Caffarelli, Salimbeni, and other celebrated vocalists, during the period 1715-1721. In 1720 and 1721 he wrote two serenades to librettos by a gifted young poet, Metastasio, the beginning of a long, though interrupted, collaboration. In 1722 his operatic successes encouraged him to lay down his ...
  • Excerpt-Ravens and Eagles Season 1 -- Episode 9: Chiefly Possessions Throughout human history collecting art has been synonymous with the accumulation of wealth. In the early 20th century, the parliament of Canada outlawed the potlatch, and in doing so interrupted a system of life that involved the redistribution of wealth by chiefs, and the art and artifacts that supported this system. Today those laws have been repealed and the proof of that is evidenced by the 1998 potlatch of 7Idansuu, known as Jim Hart by his English name. Besides the name of his ancestor, Jim inherited many other possessions including heraldic crests with which to adorn his home and regalia. He recalls the event two years later and offers a glimpse of the tradition during a visit to his ancestral home in Kiusta.
  • ♪♫ You've Got To Hide Your Love Away -- The Beatles (Acoustic Guitar Cover) "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" is a song by The Beatles. It was written and sung by John Lennon (credited to Lennon/McCartney) and released on the album Help! in August 1965. The song shows the influence of the American singer Bob Dylan. The song "is just basically John doing Dylan", McCartney later said.[1] Lennon seems to mimic Dylan's gruff vocal style: the song is in a folkish strophic form and uses a Dylanesque acoustic guitar figure in compound time, chiefly acoustic accompaniment, no backing voices and light percussion from brushed snare, tambourine and maraca. The lyrics of Dylan's 1964 song "I Don't Believe You (She Acts Like We Have Never Met)" open with a strikingly similar image: "I can't understand, she let go of my hand, and left me here facing the wall", as compared with Lennon's "Here I stand head in hand, turn my face to the wall".The song shows the influence of the American singer Bob Dylan. • BF 109 robinhood.wq2 The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the early 1930s. It was one of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear. The Bf 109 was the standard fighter of the Luftwaffe for the duration of WWII, although it began to be partially replaced by the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 from 1942. The Bf 109 scored more aircraft kills in World War Two than any other aircraft. At various times it served as an air superiority fighter, an escort fighter, an interceptor, a ground-attack aircraft and a reconnaissance aircraft. The Bf 109 was produced in greater quantities than any other fighter aircraft in history, with over 31000 units built. Although the Bf 109 had weaknesses, including a short range of early variants around 400 miles (640 km) on internal fuel as drop tanks were not standardized until the E-7 model appearing in mid-1940, and a sometimes difficult to handle narrow, outward-retracting undercarriage, it stayed competitive with Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war. The Bf 109 was flown by the three top scoring fighter aces of World War II Erich Hartmann, the top scoring fighter ace of all time with 352 victories, Gerhard Barkhorn with 301 victories, and Günther Rall with 275 victories. All of them flew with the Jagdgeschwader 52, chiefly on the Eastern front, a unit ...

  • House of Anubis Theme Song English (From Dutch) This is an adaptation of the Dutch and German theme song in their respective versions of the show House of Anubis (chiefly the Dutch). These lyrics were adapted from the Google Translate translations of Het Huis Anubis and Das Haus Anubis (chiefly Het Huis Anubis) It should be said that I do NOT know either Dutch or German, so this is most likely not the best "translation" out there. This is what I've imagined the lyrics to be in English: In a dark, distant past, an old couple found a treasure... And their daughter Sarah hid it in this old house She wrote the path in riddles; whoever's sly and cunning will Find this treasure in this dark House of Anubis One mystery A thousand questions In the House of Anubis More secrets, every day, in the House of Anubis Come be brave and unravel this myst'ry of The House of Anubis! Andrew Jackson, Letter to LH Coleman of Warrenton, NC, 29 April 1824 Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. • Psalm 12:7-why the KJB is the correct translation This is in response to the video of 'Moderate Calvinist' who claimed the KJB was incorrect in its translation of Psa.12:7 when in fact, it was correct. The link to the article explaining this is below av1611.com The suffix gains still more strength, when instead of the union-vowels there is inserted between it and the verb a union-syllable n-, which, when the syllable has the tone, becomes n- (commonly called Nûn epenthetic or Nûn demonstrative), which, however, occurs only in the Imperfect and chiefly in pause, eg yebarkenehu he will bless him (Ps. 72,15)... This Nûn is, however, for the most part incorporated with the suffixes, and hence we get a new series of forms ... Rem. The uncontracted forms with Nûn written distincly are rare and only poetic (Ex. 15,2) Deut. 32,10, Jer. 5,22,, 22,24) and do not occur at all in 3 fem. sing. and 1 plur. The contracted forms (with the Nûn assimilated) are rahter frequent also in prose, especially in pause (very seldom -nu as first pers. pl. Hosea 12, 5) This Nûn is of a demonstrative nature, and gives more emphasis to the word, and is therefore chiefly found in pause. But it occurs also in the union of the suffixes with certain particles."1 1 Gesenius, Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar, London: Asher & Co., 1903, p. 146.

Considered somewhat of an avant-gardist, his solo style - which ...
