- Matangi Mantra Matangi is one of the ten Mahavidyas - the others are Kali, Tara, Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Kamala, Dhumavati and Bagla Mukhi. The Mahavidyas represent some or other incarnation or manifestation of the Divine Mother. They are in this sense also to be regarded as Vidyas or different approaches to (tantric) knowledge. Matangi resides in the throat chakra and is radiant like the Moon. Matangi is an adviser of Tripur Sundari and het worship leads the aspirant to Tripur Sundari. Matangi is invoked to achieve command over speech, creativity and knowledge, among others. Basically Matangi is the more complete upgraded version of the Hindu goddess Saraswati, where Saraswati is just all light, Matangi is light and dark(ying&yang) which is a complete form, balance is whats needed Her Mantra: AUM HRING KLING HUM MATANGAIYE PHAT SWAHA INFO on the Mahavidya & Siddhas:

- Das Mahavidyas Dasa Mahavidyas The Dasa(Ten) Mahavidyas In Tantra, worship of Devi-Shakti is referred to as a Vidya. Of the hundreds of tantrik practices, the worship of the ten major Devis is called the Dasa Mahavidya. These major forms of the goddess are described in the Todala Tantra. They are Kali, Tara, Maha Tripura Sundari (or Shodasi-Sri Vidya), Bhuvaneshvari, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala. These ten aspects of Shakti are the epitome of the entire creation. There are several "levels" at which these Devis can be worshiped with the prescribed Mantra and Yantra. Like a simple worship of the yantra with the mantra recitation, as a remedial astrological measure, elaborate worship with all tantrak rituals for attaining various siddhis associated with these tantras and for spiritual salvation. Successful sadhana of these Vidyas gives several boons to the practitioner. The Tantrik-Yogi who has control over his senses and positively inclined uses the boons to guide people and for the benefit of mankind.

- Maa Go Chinnamasta -- Archan Chakrabarti and Indrani Das Ghosh Dus Mahavidya -- Ten Great Learnings The ten great learnings are related with Sati, Shiva, Gori, Parvati, all synonymous of the same Adi Shakti (eternal power). She is also known as Navdurga, Chamunda, Vishnupriya etc and is worshipped. The origin of this ten great knowledge is as follows. Daksha Prajapati, the first ruler of our mortal world and the father of Sati, once performed a Yagna (religious sacrifice) in which he invited all the deities and sages, except his own Son-in-law Lord Shiva, because of his jealousy towards him. Sati wanted to be present at that occasion but Lord Shiva refused to give permission, thinking it was improper for her to go without the invitation. But she was unmoved. She said "I will certainly go to the Yajna, I would either get the fortune of that religious sacrifice for my dearest, deity of the deities, husband (Lord Shiva) or else I would destroy that religious sacrifice itself." Sati's eyes became red. She looked at Lord Shiva violently, her lips began to flutter, and her complexion became dark. The fire of her anger made her appearance look frightened and violent. Such an appearance of Sati was frightening even for Lord Shiva. Her appearance, which had the blaze and radiance of Crores of mid-noon-suns, made her so fearful that he just ran away. To stop Lord Shiva from running away in all the possible ten directions, Sati manifested herself in to ten different forms. These ten Shaktis (powers) of Sati are known as the ten great knowledges ...

- Bhanwar(1976)What is it to Have no Boyfriend? CHINNAMASTA PART 2 WHO DIES BEFORE DYING, DOES NOT DIE AFTER DYING Consequently, the Great Cosmic Power Chinnamasta whose representation is headless, is the Great Cosmic Power who helps the sincere and devoted yogi to dissolve his or her mind, including all the ideas, attachments, habits, preconceived ideas into the Pure Divine Consciousness, helping him or her to transcend the mind and to merge with the supra-mental state (unmana) of the Divine Beatific Void. This is why we need not fear the loss of our head or of time, because sooner or later death takes us all through the great passage, regardless whether we want it or not. In fact, the only path to the spiritual awakening is the so-called "sacrifice of the mind", implying the renunciation at the complicated mechanism of attachment and possession thoughts, of which the most persistent is the idea "I am the body". The suffering caused by the sacrifice of the ego represents for many people a tough experience, whom many try to avoid, although they admit its spiritual importance. This type of experience usually causes a complete re-orientation of the energies towards deeply spiritual purposes and therefore it is assimilated, in the initiatic tradition to a "second birth". The terrible image of the Great Cosmic Power Chinnamasta, the headless goddess, is the most expressive way to suggest the fundamental transformation of the human being, meaning the renunciation at the limited and ephemeral individuality of ...

- DASHA MAHAVIDYA MA To stop the devastation of the universe Goddess UMA appreared in 10 different forms to stop the wrath of SHIVA. Shiva could not recongnise her and Goddess made him realise that she is her consort and need not worry. The firece forms of Goddess were suficient to sopt the destruction the universe was going to face. Kali was standing in front of Siva, Tara on His forehead, Chinnamasta on His right, Bhuvaneswari on His left, and Bagala on His back side. Dhumavati, Kamala, Matangi and Shodashi obstructed Siva from his agneya, nairuta, vayu and ishana directions, respectively. The Sakti who talked with Siva directly was Bhairavi. Acknowledgement: We are greateful to Rudra Center, Saikiran Sharma and all contributors for their unparalleled contribution in spreading this rare form of worship, may Goddess bless them all!
