  • Great Soviet Experience ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL) PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ Capitalism is embarking on a major class war offensive against living standards in Britain. This needs to be met by a determined counter-offensive from the working class. To be snatched from the pockets of the poor There are to be £113bn of spending cuts and tax increases over the next four years, with £11bn coming off state welfare alone. The 7 percent cut in housing benefit will leave 750000 under threat of homelessness, and the inflation index by which state benefits are calculated will now exclude housing costs. VAT, a tax on the poor, is going up to 20 percent whilst Child Benefit is to be frozen. The vaunted 'ring-fencing' of the health budget is more about guaranteeing repayment of the staggering debts run up through the construction of PFI hospitals than about defending essential services, which in fact face £20bn worth of 'efficiency savings'. Meanwhile, as an estimated 750000 jobs are to go in the public sector and many public-sector workers face a wage freeze, there is to be a drive to push single parents back into the labour market as soon as all the children are in school and 1.8 million disabled people are to be required to present themselves for fresh medical examination. • For Fallen Miners www.kaypakkaya- How Labourism disorganises resistance; The futile search for 'fair' cuts opens the door wide for the divide-and-rule tactics employed by the capitalists and their apologists. They tell us it is unfair that some folk have to get up and go to work whilst their neighbours slumber on with curtains closed, planting enmity between the employed and the unemployed and 'forgetting' the wholesale destruction of jobs, care of the overproduction crisis. They tell us that the collapse of pensions provision is a consequence of our inconvenient tendency to live longer, planting enmity between young and old and 'forgetting' how pensions security fell prey to markets anarchy. They tell us that 'foreigners' are pushing 'Brits' out of the queue for jobs and social provision, planting enmity between different races and cultures and 'forgetting' that the origin of those lengthening queues lies in the crisis of their beloved capitalist system. They even dare tell workers that 'we' have overindulged in our consumption of resources and must now teach 'our' children to love frugality. Yet as the current issue (Number 37) of Proletarian explains, "the problem is not the unaffordably luxurious lives of British pensioners, but the unaffordably luxurious lives of British and foreign bloodsuckers -- moneylenders, bankers, financiers -- who are so positioned as to be able to suck the lifeblood not only of future generations but above all of the current one." • Imperialism & War - Harpal Brar ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL) PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ Hands off Haiti! In this context, it is unsurprising that the Pentagon assumed control of the earthquake relief effort; deploying military personnel and hardware in partnership with the ideologically aligned and criminally complicit UN forces, which are positioned to control the population. The imperialist media's passing announcements that the stumbling renovation efforts in Haiti are down to 'chaotic conditions' on the ground are deceitful: the primary goal of the occupying forces is not to improve the living standards of the masses but to ensure their inability to organise independent movements that may disrupt the pre-existing economic and social conditions favourable to international 'investment' (ie, looting). The relationship between crisis and neo-liberalism, with the former as a vehicle of economic and political restructuring, is nothing new. As Haitian families, widows and orphans were deciding whether to locate their crumbling makeshift tents in the countryside, where landowners have been hiring armed thugs to beat, shoot and displace them, or in the cities, where they are forced to share the rubble with the remains of their dead compatriots, international capitalists were holding banquets to entice exploitative global investors to the country. Haiti's traumatised survivors have been marketed as the perfect source of cheap labour and, enticed by the prospect of cheaper labour rates ...

  • The students of Argentine clashed with the police A student demonstration in Buenos Aires became violent last week when the group of protesters took over Argentina's Ministry of Education and clashed with riot police. Several students were arrested and three policemen were wounded after some 150 social science students from the University of Buenos Aires descended on the ministry to protest against a lack of funding for education. Riot police were called to the scene by staff working inside, some of who were seen escaping out of windows. As tension escalated, students broke down the door of the building, while others brandished sticks and stones, which were used to strike police. The episode began when students requested a meeting with Education Minister, Alberto Sileoni, to find out when new university facilities would be built. When the minister refused to meet the students, they decided to take over the building his head! This latest episode is part of an ongoing struggle in Argentina between students and authorities. In September, thousands of students marched to the presidential palace, to express their views that politicians are neglecting schools and universities. In Buenos Aires, many public schools are housed in old buildings, which haven't been renovated for years. ★☭Long Live Marxism, Leninism and Maoism! maozedong- www.kaypakkaya- www.cpgb- krasnoe.tv http www.pcc.cu www.partisan- http www ...

  • Don't let them to reduce our Red Victories! ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL) PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ We received the following correspondence from a reader; Before I speak to the way the juvenile "justice" system is being used to persecute Mychal Bell of the Jena 6, I want to start with a personal story. My son is dark-skinned and was constantly stopped by the police for being out of place in the mainly white, suburban, middle class community where his grandparents live and near where he grew up. Once, the police were called on him at a 7-11 store because the clerk was afraid that he might not pay for some item. My son was so outraged that he wasn't cooperative with the police who hauled him off and was charged with resisting arrest. When he was brought to the court for a preliminary arraignment, the judge glanced at the arrest report and launched into a tirade about what a menace to society my son was, that he was obviously a repeat criminal, and how he should be locked up for at least 6 months on a good day. The judge said he was going to sentence him right then. This was the arraignment—which is supposedly when a defendant finds out what his or her charges are, not when they get convicted and sentenced! The lawyer finally got to say, "My client would like to plead not guilty." The judge looked shocked. The lawyer went on about his client's ties in the community and that he should be granted bail, pointing out that his mother was on hand to arrange this. The judge looked out at me—white ...

Bradley Manning and the stench of US hypocrisy by Ryan Gallagher Earlier this week, the soldier accused of leaking thousands of confidential documents to WikiLeaks, Bradley Manning, was handed an additional 22 charges as part of his ongoing court martial process. The 23-year-old, who has been in solitary confinement for more than seven months, stands accused of computer fraud, theft of public records and willfully communicating classified information to a person not entitled to receive it. He now also finds himself faced with a rare charge known as "aiding the enemy" -- a capital offence for which he could face the death penalty. The revelation will no doubt have come as a blow to Manning, although given his ongoing treatment it is likely he already feared the worst. Made to endure strict conditions under a prevention of injury order against the advice of military psychiatrists, he is treated like no other prisoner at the 250-capacity Quantico Brig detention facility in Virginia. Despite that he is yet to be convicted of any crime, for the past 218 consecutive days he has been made to live in a cell 6ft wide and 12ft long, without contact with any other detainees. • Soviet Union, A Great Socialist Experience ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL) PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ After the Soviet Defeat On February 15, 1989, the last of the Soviet Union's troops left Afghanistan in defeat. The fighting continued as the various feudal warlords split into warring camps. . MN Cham writes in A World to Win "The Taliban [which means "students of religion"] appeared on the political scene of Afghanistan soon after a trip by a high ranking Pakistani delegation to Turkmenistan to negotiate trade between the two countries which would go through Afghanistan. Supported by Pakistan, the Taliban emerged with the slogan of securing the roads and fighting piracy. The banner of anti- corruption was raised, religious schools were emptied as the `students' joined the struggle, and it was not long before Taliban artillery were pounding the gates of Kabul, finally capturing it in September 1996. The Taliban have their roots in the pro-US Muslim fundamentalist forces, are Wahabi Muslims (a sub-branch of Sunni) and represent Pashtun chauvinism." An editorial in the Kathmandu Post (September 20) said, "When the Taliban...entered Kabul on 27 September 1996, the US state welcomed the development with the hope that the new rulers might bring stability to the region despite the fact that they are notoriously illiberal in social terms.". Shocking as such cuts are, they represent only the first fumbling efforts of our rulers to make ordinary people pay for a crisis triggered by money-lenders, bankers and financiers and rooted in a long-developing ...
  • We believe in the dictatorship of the proletariat! ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL) PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ On its 93rd anniversary, CPGB-ML Chairman Harpal Brar speaks of the significance of the Great Socialist October Revolution, and why it is still relevant to workers of Britain and the world today. As capitalism spirals ever deeper into crisis and tries to enforce all its miseries on the peoples of the world, whether by genocidal colonial war, or ever more severe austerity measures and cuts in the heartlands of imperialism, never has the task of winning workers to socialism been a more relevant, urgent and pressing task. Capitalism is embarking on a major class war offensive against living standards in Britain. This needs to be met by a determined counter-offensive from the working class. • Break The Link with Labour! ★☭ KGB OFFICIAL REPORTS (INTERNATIONAL&IMPARTIAL)PARTISAN WORLD NEWS ★☭ Racism is avermin that needs to be exterminated, we must stop hate other people just because they are different, dont hate them by creed or skincolour. Treat them like a Comrade. I dont prefer fighting as a first solution. But if any possible solution fails and the only thing left is fighting I will fight for Communism/Socialism. Electing someone to govern, who is ANTI-Communist, is much like hiring a child molester to babysit your kids." ★☭ ☻/ /▌ / \ Fighting social democracy Let us be in no doubt: if we do not put up serious resistance to cuts and privatisation now, British workers will be impoverished for generations to come. In order to fight, we need to be prepared to defy the law and act en masse, but most union leaderships are more interested in protecting their 'assets' and respectable career credentials than their members' interests. The fact is that British unions will not become fighting machines until they have broken with Labour. Instead, the unions will remain what they have become: a part of the system that oppresses workers, merely acting as a safety valve, while the leaderships work to limit the anger of their members, to divert it into safe channels and to encourage resignation to their fate. We need to disaffiliate from Labour so we can launch a real, coordinated defence of public services, pay and pensions, which will of necessity include a mass campaign to defy the anti ...
  • Sounds of Austrian Youth Cuts: state violence against the working class Porter's sectarian attack upon his fellow students has not gone unchallenged. Whilst the official thrust of NUS cam-paigning focuses on the LibDems' broken promises over tuition fees (helping distract from Labour's efforts to play down its earlier support for fees and line up behind a graduate tax), Porter is having trouble making his social democratic writ run in a student body which has been convulsed with anger over the cuts. Workers and students unite !!! Capitalism is embarking on a major class war offensive against living standards in Britain.
