  • Gordon Brown parliament speech on hacking, part1/3 (13July11) Part 1 of 3: Gordon Brown bothers to turn up to parliament after a 15 month sulk to make a rambling and factually incorrect speech about hacking by certain newspapers. Gordon omits various relevant facts to his speech about Labour shenanigans, like Labour finding out the private details of rail crash victims, then trashing their reputations in the press. Strange how as Prime Minister and TOP boss, he chose to do nothing, as Labour did for 13 years of good press, he claims he was advised to do nothing. YOU were the boss, you did what you liked with everything else. Your story is COMPLETELY unbelievable. Labour supporters won't agree with this comment, but it's probably the worst speech given to parliament in a VERY long time, it just makes you want to punch your computer monitor / TV. BORGHEZIO's transcript (I couldn't add Speroni's as Youtube says 'too long'): Thank you, President Speroni. I also thank for being here, Ms Mara Bizotto (MEP) who raises an interesting question, but I will keep you curious till the end of the conference, because she will speak about it herself. I would like to remind everyone that on the 9 June of this year, we tried to attend - my assistant and I, in the process of humbly trying to do our jobs - I as an MEP and he as a research assistent in the European Parliament - to hear, at least in general, what these gentlemen were talking about, who were meeting at the elegant, highly reclusive resort of St Moritz. We were savagely thrown out because evidently these organisations don't like transparency. As soon as Mario Monti's candidature for prime minister was announced I immediately decided to do my duty by reporting the clear incompatibility between the three posts that he had at the time, and that is his being an international adviser to Goldman Sachs, his being the President of the European Branch of the Trilateral Commission, as well as his ...

British cities are recovering from four nights of riots and looting that shocked the country, the trouble mainly hit London, but other cities also suffered. • Parliament Funkadelic - Give Up The Funk - Mothership Connection Houston 1976 It was Halloween night and Parliament Funkadelic was about to tear the roof off the Houston Summit, ready to bless the crowd with their cosmic brew of interplanetary funk. George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins and the rest of the P-Funk collective were riding the success of their first Top 5 R&B hit, "Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker)," a track that had earned them the kind of radio play that would bring the masses out to see them live in a stadium-sized arena. The group was only five dates into the tour when they arrived in Houston, but they were definitely ready to take it to the stage for an out-of-this-world show like no other. Taped on October 31, 1976, these seldom-seen performances at the Houston Summit represent Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic in their ʼ70s prime, in the era of their Mothership Connection and The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein LPs—a rare opportunity for everyone to get their proper dose of The P-Funk.

And yet we have listened to the dullest most, technocratic speeches I've ever heard. You are all in denial. By any objective measure the euro is a failure. And who exactly is responsible, who is in charge out of all you lot? The answer is none of you because none of you have been elected; none of you have any democratic legitimacy for the roles you currently hold within this crisis. And into this vacuum, albeit reluctantly, has stepped Angela Merkel. And we are now living in a German-dominated Europe - something that the European project was actually supposed to stop. Something that those who went before us actually paid a heavy price in blood to prevent. I don't want to live in a German-dominated Europe and nor do the citizens of Europe.
