  • Already upset leopard gets harassed by a flock of Guineafowls I do not own this video. This leopard just lost his prey to a hyena. He's now followed and harassed by a flock of Guineafowls, and so every animal within a range of 20 kms is now aware of his presence. The guineafowl are a family of birds in the Galliformes order. The guineafowl are native to Africa, but the Helmeted Guineafowl has been domesticated and both feral and wild-type birds have been introduced elsewhere. This is a family of insect and seed-eating, ground-nesting birds that resemble partridges, but with featherless heads, though both members of the genus Guttera have a distinctive black crest, and the Vulturine Guineafowl has a downy brown patch on the nape. Most species of guineafowl have a dark grey or blackish plumage with dense white spots, but both members of the genus Agelastes lack the spots (as do some domestic variants of the Helmeted Guineafowl). While several species are relatively well known, the Plumed Guineafowl and the two members of the genus Agelastes remain relatively poorly known. The species for which the information is known are normally monogamous, mating for life. However, occasional bigamy has been recorded for the Helmeted Guineafowl. All guineafowl are social, and typically occur in small groups. They are large birds which measure from 40-71 cm in length, and weigh 700-1600 g. The Helmeted and Vulturine Guineafowl generally occur in open or semi-open habitats such as savanna or semi-deserts, while the remaining species of guineafowl ...

  • "Batmen's paradise" Paulandton's photos around Madang, Papua New Guinea A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Madang, Papua New Guinea by TravelPod blogger Paulandton titled "Batmen's paradise". TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Paulandton's travel blog entry: "Our flight to Port Moresby was cancelled so we had to stay an extra night in Tufi and enjoy our last Lobster meal. As the flight left the next morning early enough to connect with our flight to Kiunga we haven't spent any time in Port Moresby, the capital. As stories go round that it's not the safest and most interesting place we didn't mind spending an extra night in Tufi. When we arrived at Kiunga we hoped that Samuel our birding guide would be there to pick us up but after waiting for some time we realized that we would have to take action ourselves. The public phone was not working for years already, but some friendly people at the airport let me use their mobile phone so I could call around and see if we could get in touch with Samuel. First story was that he is still in Fiji! But when we arrived at the Kiunga Guesthouse we were told by his wife that he was on a trip and would be back that night. So the next morning he showed up and we made arrangements to go birding for a couple of nights in a lodge in the jungle. What is birding like in PNG. For all you none birders I'll try to explain it a little. There are a few things that are a neccesity. A good guide, like Kiwan our guide, is a must, good binoculars and lots and lots of patience. How do you spot birds ...

  • Livingstone's turaco This species is quite common in zoos, with around 20 ISIS registered zoos housing them. They are also kept in America zoos, but there are only about 10 ISIS registered zoos keeping them. These are available in Private aviculture. This clip was taken at Blackbrook and was mixed with Abdim's stork, Waldrapp ibis, Southern lapwing, Cattle egret, Vulturine guinea-fowl and various waterfowl. Blackbrook do seem to regularly mix a variety of birds together, there are about 10 of these unusual aviaries scattered around the park. There is nothing wrong with them , they are just unusual, and not many zoos dare to go into the realms of mixing different groups of birds together. These exhibits are also very interesting to watch as there is a lot of interaction between all of these birds.
  • 109 million reasons to dump hillary clinton THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY: HOW DECADES OF CLINTON DOUBLE-DEALING COMPROMISED OUR NATIONAL SECURITY (Preface) by Mia T, March 8, 2006 Old habits die hard. bill and hillary and their fixers in the press and DC are up to their old tricks. The clintons trade our national security for their power and treasure while old media and the DC establishment--pre-9/11, 20th-century relics all--do nothing. But this time the betrayal is happening in real time, right before our very eyes. Aided and abetted by the usual useful-idiot suspects in the press, allowed to operate with impunity by a Congress cowered by Filegate and other clinton abuses of power past, present and future, the husband is pushing the Dubai ports deal as seven-figure kickbacks from the crown prince sluice into clinton-family coffers and vulturine clinton cronies circle the kill. All this while the bagman wife assumes phony poses, both familiar -- (hillary 'KNOWNOTHING VICTIM' clinton), and newly configured -- (hawkish scold). There are none so blind as those who will not see... except, perhaps, those who do and prop the clintons up anyway. More:

If against use, send message, I remove video Samburu National Reserve The Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya; on the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve in Northern Kenya. It is 165 km² in size and 350 kilometers from Nairobi. Geographically, it is located in Samburu District of the Rift Valley Province. In the middle of the reserve, the Ewaso Ng'iro flows through doum palm groves and thick riverine forests that provides water without which the game in the reserve could not survive in the arid country. The Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the best selling book and award winning movie Born Free. The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves. Samburu National Reserve can be entered via the Ngare Mare and Buffalo Springs gates. Once inside the reserve, there are two mountains visible: Koitogor and Ololokwe. Samburu National Reserve is very peaceful and attracts animals because of the Uaso Nyiro River (meaning "brown water" and pronounced U-aa-so-Nyee-ro) that runs through it and the mixture of acacia, riverine forest, thorn trees and grassland vegetation. The Uaso Nyiro flows from the Kenyan highlands and empties into the famous Lorian Swamp. The natural serenity that is evident here is due to its distance ...

Hillary Clinton apologized Friday after citing the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy (below) in defending her decision to keep running for the Democratic presidential nomination. SICK. Disgusting. And yet revealing. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in the event some nut kills Barack Obama. It could happen, but what definitely has happened is that Clinton has killed her own chances of being vice president. She doesn't deserve to be elected dog catcher anywhere now. Her shocking comment to a South Dakota newspaper might qualify as the dumbest thing ever said in American politics. Her lame explanation that she brought up the 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy because his brother Ted's illness was on her mind doesn't cut it. Not even close. We have seen an X-ray of a very dark soul. One consumed by raw ambition to where the possible assassination of an opponent is something to ponder in a strategic way. Otherwise, why is murder on her mind? It's like Tanya Harding's kneecapping has come to politics. Only the senator from New York has more lethal fantasies than that nutty skater. We could have seen it coming, if only we had realized Clinton's thinking could be so cold. She has grown increasingly wild in her ...
